Also…anyone else reading this watching “The Venture Brothers”? Last week’s episode was freaking FANTASTIC.
Dean: “Who can’t use another sweater vest?!”
Hank: “Cool guys…”
[Hank and Dean are watching a tape of their grandfather on a small television.]
Dean: “Grandpa! He’s alive!”
Hank: “And trapped! In the PHANTOM ZONE!”
[While the boys are looking through their father’s old junk, they find a ‘fan letter’ he wrote to the Herculoids when he was 10.]
Hank: “It’s not a fan letter. He calls them hippies for not fighting in Vietnam.”
[Former fake ghost pirate The Captain is underwater with Jonas Venture Jr. when Captain suddenly stops]
The Captain: [Stops suddenly] “JESUS JONES! … Yargh, now THERE was a band. Yeppers, back in the Summer of ’91, we all thought they was gonna be the futures of Rock and Roll.”
Jonas: “They sound great!”
The Captain: “WERE great.”
Jonas: “They’re not around anymore?”
The Captain: “No sir! Not so’s anyone would notice anyway.”

Simply the greatest show on TV right now. Freaking brilliant.
RANDOM THING I WOULD LIKE TO GO AWAY:
Granier Fructis commercials, so I never have to hear “dun da-na da-na-na-na-na dun dun da-na WOO WOOOO” ever again.

We’ve now accounted for Jonny and Race – we still have to see Dr. Quest, Hadji, Jade, and the querelous Jessie Race’s daughter/Jade’s daughter…who the hell knows.
Yeah. Venture Bros is climbing my list of favorites.

Season 1 was very good. Season 2 so far has just been spectacular.
