A Reminder to Cee-Lo Green and His Many Fans

You got a catchy little song there, Cee-Lo. But Nilsson dropped the F-Bomb and put it out as a single when you were still giggling over saying the word “poop”:

I’ve got to fault you on a technicality, K-Mar. The song to which you are referring, “You’re Breakin’ My Heart”, was only officially released as an album cut, not as a single. While it DID make an appearance as the B-side of the single of “Daybreak” that can’t really be considered a “single” release. In addition, the 45 RPM single of “Daybreak” was censored for airplay: Not only was the A-side edited (the line “pissing me off” was changed to a repeat of “making me cough”) but the promotional copies of the single had a BLANK B-side to discourage radio DJs from playing the expletive-laden non-hit. Oh, and BTW, “Son Of Schmilsson”, the album the song was taken from was released a full two years before Cee-Lo was born, according to http://www.Allmusic.com. Just keepin’ it real!

I regularly heard The Who say “fuck” on the radio as a kid. Cee-Lo was four when that one was released.

We should have a Music Night where we only play songs with the word “fuck” in them that came out when Cee-Lo was a child.

Oh, uh… I was giggling over saying the word “poop” earlier today. Don’t you judge me.

Whoah. I’m guessing Cee-lo didn’t need you to tell him about this one. Sounds to me like he’s more or less covering it! Wow.
