Filler Friday over at “In the Present Tense”

Firstly, this is my first attempt to post by e-mail. If successful, this means I’ll even be able to write quick ditties on my cellphone. Now isn’t that lovely?

Today over at the TimesUnion.com blog (http://blog.timesunion.com/marshall/) is Filler Friday.

Thus far, my little experiment in getting newspaper readers to engage in a blog that goes completely against the accepted guidelines for writing an accessible blog for a news agency – essays up to 1,000 words in length that cover a breadth of topics that may not be newsworthy and also aren’t gossip – has been a resounding success. However, keeping up with this has been hard work.

I’m certainly not averse to hard work, but once in awhile I’d like to be able to cheat and just post a bunch of bulls***. So I decided to do “Filler Friday.” It’s actually going to be a lot of fun – at least four posts today, maybe five. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Thanks for your continued readership and, in many cases, your continued/renewed/blossoming friendships.
