Site update; The Jim Crow Museum

I’ve modified the comments section so that not all comments are filtered and need to be moderated in order to appear on the blog. Having to approve every single comment is nice for people who sit in proximity of their computer all day and/or can afford something akin to an iPhone. Not so much for yours truly.

I received a question from a friend reading the previous post regarding the reference to the Jim Crow Museum; specifically, “what’s that?”  The Jim Crow Museum is a physical collection of racist memorabilia located on the campus of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. The collection acts as a documentation and resource for racism, segregation, and anti-black caricatures in an effort to promote understanding of the struggle for equality in the United States and promote healing.  You can access the Jim Crow Museum online at http://www.ferris.edu/jimcrow/menu.htm.
