If I was the DA, I’d try to lock her up for 30 years just for having that haircut.

The sad thing is you KNOW she chose that haircut, because if it was given to her by the dudes that put her in the orange pyjamas, she wouldn’t have those bangs.

Oh, absolutely. I’ve seen something similar in the past. I call it the “White Trash Hardcore Hangover.”

      • August 31, 2006 at 9:00 pm

When I was a senior in high school (which was **ten** years ago), an eighth grader who thought he was hard had the beginnings of that cut. I remember it well, because he insisted on starting shit with me, and he was the only one aftre my freshman year who ever did that.

You think her cut looks stupid, try the same look on a kid who looks like Rey Misterio’s kid Dominic, only about two inches long, so it looks like the mustache on the guy from the Pringles can.

        And then bleach it blonde.

      • August 31, 2006 at 9:15 pm

Now if he had instaed tried to GROW the facial hair of the guy on the Pringles can, THEN he’d be hard. I certainly wouldn’t mess with someone who willingly grew that ‘stache.

Wow that’s fucked up. They killed her during lunch hour?? That is so fucked up.

    • August 31, 2006 at 9:21 pm

      Yeah, that’s really freaking weird.

Oh, and I LOOOOVE the strategy the defense used to lessen her sentence – that she was harassed in High School (welcome to eighty percent of the population, kiddo) and “locked in her room.” I personally know people who had much worse childhoods that wouldn’t skip out during lunch to murder someone.

      • August 31, 2006 at 9:29 pm

That’s TREMENDOUSLY upsetting. That’s absolutely horrifying that no one in her LIFE was able to reach her enough to make her feel that murder was okay.

This is more disturbing than columbine in some ways. You can be sort of detached from the act of killing with a gun, but they took that girl, killed her, BURNED her body and then hacked the burned body up?

How? How do you do that and feel nothing?

There are people who stop eating meat because they can’t stand the thought of what animals suffer through…

        This is really scary.

(Yes, I had to use The Scream as my icon of choice.)

      • August 31, 2006 at 9:29 pm

Because she didn’t want some chick hitting on her ex too. She is fucking 16 years old! People seriously need to think about their futures sometimes… I guess it’s better that she’s now someone butch woman’s bitch in prison, rather than some dirty prostitute under the hoosac street bridge.

      • August 31, 2006 at 10:40 pm

        Were those her only options?

      • September 1, 2006 at 1:42 am

I tend to assume, I admit it is a stereotype, that kids that seem that fucked up, get reject by society and end up on the wrong side of the street.

      • September 4, 2006 at 5:12 am

It’s a stereotype, but it’s largely true and that’s sad and wrong. Society is what we make of it…and we shouldn’t be creating this.

      • September 4, 2006 at 5:15 am

It’s a problem that these kids accept these fates that society hands to them. It’s a clarity of mind that a lot of humans lack, or fail to achieve until later in life.

I didn’t succomb to the fate of society, and I’m very glad for it.

      • September 4, 2006 at 10:24 pm

I think the bigger problem is that society fails these kids.

      • September 4, 2006 at 10:34 pm

Society and individuals. You can always have someone to blame.

Whatever it is, it’s a hard problem to solve…
