sable-debutante added me to its friends list. I suspect it’s a bot. If I knew for certain it was just someone doing an experiment (i.e. someone just seeing how people react or simply translating entries from one langue to another and back), or just a harmless bot, that’d be one thing. However, I’m not taking my chances.

To ban this or a similar bot/annoyance:
– Go to Admin Console (click)
– Enter the command below:
ban_set username
Replacing, of course, “username” with the username of the bot.

Ban it?! Good lord man, this stuff is awesome! It reads like a compendium of all the weird text you find at the bottom of spam emails!

“It reads like a compendium of all the weird text you find at the bottom of spam emails!”

A friend of mine already posts snippets of spam-jam in her LJ. Lately, she’s been finding that spammers love Stephen King, and in particular the novel Misery.

Yes, I completely fabricated the phrase “spam-jam.” That’s what I’ve just now decided to call it.

I think the goal is to now have within the next 3 months someone using that phrase who does not know us, or anyone we know.

        First step, wikipedia entry.

        I concur. Excellent idea.
